Qualifying books may be professionally appraised by Vivarium Books for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to) Non-Cash Charitable Contributions according to standards set by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Books must be in hand to make an accurate appraisal. Owners receive a detailed letter from Vivarium Books attesting to value and accuracy of their book(s). Donors additionally receive attached their completed IRS Form 8283. The typical fee for appraisals is 50 USD/hour.
